World Team Tennis

World Team Tennis (WTT) was founded in 1973. It suspended play after the 1978 season, and resumed play in 1981 as Team Tennis. World Team Tennis has fluctuated between four and twelve teams since resuming play. The name World Team Tennis was adopted in 1982. As of 2006 there are 12 teams in World Team Tennis.

World Team Tennis Finals

The World Team Tennis Finals match up teams from the Eastern Conference and Western Conference. The top two teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences qualify for the finals. The four teams will be seeded based on their regular season records. If the the host team does not qualify for the Finals, there is a quarterfinal in which the host team plays the number four seed.
