Major League Soccer (MLS)
Major League Soccer, or MLS, was founded in 1993 and played its first season in 1996. MLS currently consists of 12 teams that compete in a 32 game season. The 12 teams are organized into two Conferences, the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference.
MLS has would like to expand to 16 teams by 2010. In 2007, Toronto FC played its inaugural season.
