United Hockey League (UHL)
The United Hockey League (UHL) was founded in 1999 as the Colonial Hockey League. The name of the league was changed to the United Hockey League in 1997.
The United Hockey League is organized into two Conferences, the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference, each with 5 teams. Two UHL teams have affiliations with AHL teams, and one team has an affiliation with an NHL Team.
United Hockey League (UHL) Playoffs
The UHL playoffs are organized into two rounds and then a finals round. Eight teams, four from each conference, make the first round of the playoffs. The winners play in round 2 for their respective conference championship. The conference champions play each other in the finals for the Colonial Cup.
