This one may not have blipped on your sports radar screen. The IWFL (Independent Women’s Football League) will be holding their Championship Weekend this weekend, July 24 and 25, 2010.
Not familiar with the IWFL? The IWFL is a women’s full pads full contact football league that was founded in 2000 and started play in 2001. It is organized into three tiers and fields 51 teams across North America.
On Saturday July 24 at 10:00 AM the Tier 2 championship game will be held between the Montreal Blitz and the Bay Area Bandits. Later on Saturday at 7:00 PM the Tier 1 championship game will be held between the Boston Militia and the Sacramento Sirens. On Sunday July 25 they will hold the IWFL All-Star game. All games will be held in Round Rock, Texas.
