Spain it is. They were expected to win it all going in and they did (although the Netherlands gave them a good run…).
Word Cup coverage and interest in the United States was very respectable given that we are not a soccer nation and that the home town team was out of it for a long time. I, for one, will miss the excitement of a sport involving the whole world.
