Colorado Rockies HistoryThe Colorado Rockies are a member of the National League West Division. They were founded and joined the National League in 1993, the same year as the Florida Marlins joined the league. The Rockies have several nick names, including "The Rocks", "The Rox", "Blake Street Bombers". The Colorado Rockies first played in Mile High Stadium (1993-1994), and have been playing in Coors Field in Denver since 1995. In their short history, the Colorado Rockies have only made it to the post season twice, both times as the National League Wild Card Team. They have never won the National League West Division crown. 2007 was their first National League Pennant and the 2007 World Series will be the first in team history. |
