New York-Penn League

The New York-Penn League was founded in 1939 as the Pennsylvania-Ontario-New York League. The league currently consists of 14 teams organized into three divisions (McNamara Division, the Pinckney Division, and the Stedler Division). Teams in the New York-Penn League play a 76 game season schedule. The New York-Penn League also has an All-Star game at the mid-point of the season.

The New York-Penn League has a two-round playoff structure. The three division leaders and a wild card team make the playoffs. Both rounds of the playoffs are best-of-3 game series.

Northwest League

A league has existed in the northwest since 1901. The current incarnation, the Northwest League, was founded in 1955. It currently consists of 8 teams organized into two 4 team division (East and West). Teams in the Northwest League play a 76 game season schedule.

Famous players how played in the Northwest League include: Sandy Alomar, Jose Canseco, Eric Davis, George Foster, Julio Franko, Ken Griffey, Jr., Dave Henderson, Rickey Henderson, and Reggie Jackson.

The two Northwest League division winners play each other for the Northwest League championship in a best-of-5 game series.
